DVD Author & QA  Digital Media




Digital Pictures is based in South Melbourne. Our bustling office brings together artists, producers and technicians to create world-class content for the international and domestic Advertising, Entertainment and Corporate markets.

The Digital Media Centre at Digital Pictures is looking for the services of a DVD Author. The DVD Author will work within the DVD team and be responsible for the output of masters for Duplication & Replication.

You will need to have advanced understanding of Encoding, Compression, Transcoding for DVD and other multimedia uses. Advanced knowledge of the following Authoring applications is essential - Spruce Maestro, DVD Studio Pro. An understanding of Sonic Scenarist and Blu-ray related production will be highly regarded.

As well, the successful candidate will need to provide Quality Assurance skills to the team including navigation and audio-visual checking. Any broadcast tape room or QA experience will be highly beneficial to this role.

The DVD team at Digital Pictures is award winning in technical excellence and has a commitment to delivering quality design on titles with the highest possible technical standards. As an integral member of the team, the DVD author will feedback ideas for improvement or new services to ensure the department grows and provides relevant services.
