Omnilab Media Launches New Captioning Service.

LINDA BAKER JOINS OMNILAB MEDIA TO HEAD 'THE SUBSTATION'.

SYDNEY 9 September 2008.

Omnilab Media, Australia/NZ's largest, privately owned, vertically integrated content development and media service business, today announced that Linda Baker has joined their team as General Manager of 'The SubStation', their newly launched subtitling and captioning service.

Omnilab Media, through The SubStation, is now offering a valued, educational and community subtitling and captioning service benefiting in excess of 2 million deaf and hearing-impaired television viewers across Australia & New Zealand. The service also helps people who dont have English as their primary language and assists children with their grammar and reading skills. The SubStation offers TV, TVC and DVD subtitling and captioning to any company involved in visual media including advertisers, entertainment companies and channel owners.

Managing Director of Omnilab Media, Christopher Mapp, said, "The SubStation is the latest in a long line of 'value-add' services we have committed to providing for our clients. Linda, as one of the most senior, experienced and trusted individuals in the captioning industry, is clearly the ideal person to run and develop this business."

Baker, who launched the new captioning service on 1 September 2008, commented, "The SubStation launch is a very welcome one for me. The team we have put together is second to none, combining vast industry knowledge and expertise. It is a logical extension of Omnilab's existing media services and has been embraced by clients across the board."

Based at their Yurong Street offices, Baker will be reporting to Omnilab Media's GM Media Innovation and Technology, Grant Schuetrumpf, who said, "We are very excited to have Linda join our team in such a senior role heading up this new service offering for Omnilab Media. As anyone in the captioning industry knows, Linda has more experience and better relationships than most, which makes her invaluable in this market."

More information on The SubStation's services can be obtained by contacting Linda Baker at The SubStation on (02) 9467 3031.
